About Me
Hello! I’m Marceline (Mars) Brown, a 3D character artist and visual developer based in Columbus, Ohio. I graduated at Columbus College of Art & Design with a BFA in 3D animation and game design.
At the core of my work lies a deep passion for video games, a medium that has shaped my life in countless ways. Growing up, I loved playing games and becoming obsessed with them, I’d always draw the characters from my favorite games. I was fascinated by their designs and motivated to create my own- I was constantly redesigning and creating. This passion sparked my journey into the world of visual development; my love for adding in-depth design with creative storytelling through each piece.
My creative inspiration comes from a blend of things. I’m drawn to the emotional depth of game narratives, where characters' motivations and backstories shape their designs. For me, a character’s appearance should depict their inner self, their motives, and how they move about the world. I approach each design with a focus on personality and story first—thinking about who the character is before creating.
I want to create characters and stories that resonate with people. I want my work to invite connection—whether it’s the familiarity of a game character or the emotional depth of a design. Through my art, I hope you can feel the same love for creation that drives me.
